Russians make up most of tourists

RED SEA, Egypt: According to Red Sea Information Center statistics, the number of Russian tourists increased in April after the tourism travel ban was lifted.

Statistic results show around 50,000 Russians out of 200,000 tourists visited the Red Sea governorate last month.

A greatest number of Russian tourists visited Marsah Alam town, the largest percentage of Russian tourists after the Red Sea governorate.

However, the number of tourists equals only 50 percent of the total number of tourists last year. Several tourist towns saw a notable decrease in tourism influx, even with the World Squash Championship in Hurghada.
